Special Fashion Week (31.10.–5.11.2023)

We have a special offering for all those interested in fashion! All three exhibitions on the theme of fashion design in the MAK and in the MAK Geymüllerschlössel can be visited this week for a reduced admission.
The fashion designer Flora Miranda will be a guest with her futuristic creations in the historical atmosphere of the Geymüllerschlössel. She will guide visitors through the exhibition together with curator Lara Steinhäußer on Sunday, 5.11.2023 at 4 pm.

In the MAK at the Stubenring, the CRITICAL CONSUMPTION exhibition is showing historical objects, contemporary fashion design and artistic positions that provide impulses for an examination of our consumer behavior.

In the exhibition FOCUS ON COLLECTING 10: Textile Objects from the Berta and Bernard Rudofsky Collection, a selection of textiles endowed to the MAK by the estate of Berta Rudofsky (1905–1988) provides insight into her shared life with the architect, designer, and cultural theoretician Bernard Rudofsky, who curated the legendary first fashion exhibition of the MoMA in New York in 1944. We wish you an exciting visit!
